Description
Dogwood trees scatter the landscape in my hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee. For two weeks of April each spring, the Dogwood Arts Festival attracts thousands of visitors to our area to enjoy one of the prettiest times of the year. The blooms have a delicate beauty and come in white, pink, and red (which is really darker pink). The joy of winter being in the past energizes the atmosphere as more and more blooming trees, bushes, and flowers appear. I took this photo in my front yard and processed it with a soft, dreamy feel in an attempt to showcase the simple beauty of this red dogwood branch.
