Description
Saint-Paul-de-Vence is a commune in the Alps of southeastern France. One of the oldest medieval towns on the French Riviera, it is well known for its modern and contemporary art museums and galleries, such as the Fondation Maeght which is located nearby. You don't necessarily have to visit the art museums to see art, however. It's hard to miss this large sculpture strategically located at the entrance to the charming walled village! My husband and I enjoyed spending a lovely spring morning here, exploring the shops and churches. I love the composition of this vertical that captures the essence of the medieval town tucked into a hillside near Nice.
