The Lee University campus never looked better than during a recent surprise snowfall on a sleepy Saturday in February. Since snow is never a sure thing in this little eastern Tennessee town, it's always greeted as a special gift, especially by the college students who love to get out (often in shorts and sandals) and enjoy it. I was taking a few shots of the chapel when the late sleepers began to wake up and venture out amid whoops of joy that echoed around the campus. I knew it would be just a few more moments until my beautiful snow was disturbed and turned into snow balls and snowmen, so I hurriedly finished and made my way to my warm car!

Simply put, I LOVE TO TAKE PICTURES. I found this love later in life than many do, after raising my family and enjoying a career in education, both as a teacher and school administrator. Currently, much of my time revolves around travel and photography, and when I'm not traveling and taking pictures, I'm thinking about traveling and taking pictures! The Tennessee valley is my home, so I am surrounded by some of the most scenic areas of the United States with the added bonus of plentiful wildlife and birds...literally paradise for a photographer!
