Description
On our most recent visit to Paris, my husband and I enjoyed a morning walk through Luxembourg Gardens. The gardens are located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, and were created in 1612 when Marie de' Medici, the widow of King Henry IV, constructed the Luxembourg Palace as her new residence. The beautiful palace and surrounding gardens have now become a public park that is enjoyed by Parisians and visitors in all seasons. With plenty of paths and walkways, it has become a gathering place for residents to walk their dogs, take a daily run, or just sit and enjoy the view from one of the numerous benches strategically placed throughout the park. There is also a small cafe on the property for that distinctively French pastry and coffee when your exercise is finished!
