Description
As the Tennessee state bird, mockingbirds are extremely common in our area, so I see a lot of them. This one paused just long enough to give me a nice pose along the side of Hyatt Lane i Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountains National Park. An interesting fact about mockingbirds is that they are mainly silent during the summer months but sing loud and often in fall and spring.
